Column by Lingyao Wu Ms. Linyao, Master of Western Literature, is a long-time member of the Overseas Chinese Women Writers Association and a celebrity writer in the United States. She published fifty-two books including "Not Humorous", "Very Humorous Girl", "Life Spicy". Her articles are often published in newspapers and magazines. Ms. Wu is known for her wit and wit in her work. She is a popular female writer on the overseas network. Her diehard readers are around the global from many different areas. Her recent speeches given in various cities in the United States have frequently set the record of the number of audiences with the loudest laughter among local speeches. Her tailoring styles are all based on the experience of overseas Chinese and studies of multiple generations of Chinese living abroad. April 26, 2020 at 11:00:00 PM 吳亞儒 中醫師,L.Ac.,DAOM 此次講座談的是刮痧療法。以講解示範的方法教大家刮痧的消毒,手法,部位,時間,禁忌,和常見的病症的刮痧方法。 1/6 刮痧是用一定的工具,如邊緣光滑的湯匙、銅錢、硬幣或較專業的牛角骨等製成的刮痧板,配上一些按摩油或是保濕霜等潤滑劑之類,,依據中醫經絡腧穴理論,在體表進行相應的手法刮拭,以防治疾病的方法。是中國民間流傳的傳統療法。刮痧後有些病人感到局部或周身輕鬆、舒適、胸腹開暢、症狀消失,其原理在於人體應對疼痛刺激分泌的內啡肽。尤其可治療感冒,包括新冠狀病毒,和疼痛性疾病有立竿見影的效果,並且還能協助診斷疾病。 吳亞儒中醫師會在這個週日,在這堂課 親自示範,教你如何用家裡的日常用品,就地取材,學習刮痧。 也會教授你,對常見病如感冒,頭痛,頸椎病,腰痛如何刮痧選穴,緩解症狀,幫助你的家人。 Gua Sha (Scraping) Therapy Apr 26, 2020 Yaron Wu, L.Ac.,DAOM Watch Video This lecture is about Gua Sha therapy. It will teach you the disinfection, the techniques and which body parts to do Gua Sha, the time length of Gua Sha, the taboos, and treatment of common symptoms by Gua Sha. This lecture will include explanation and demonstrations. 1/6 Gua Sha is to scrap bodies with certain tools, such as spoons with smooth edges, copper coins, coins, or more professional grade horn bones, with some massage oil or moisturizing cream and other lubricants applied to the patient’s body. The treatment method of repeated scraping on the treatment place is a traditional therapy used by Chinese. After scraping, some patients feel relaxed, comfortable; they feel their chest relaxed and abdomen open, and symptoms disappear. The principle idea of this treatment is that our body responds to pain and stimulates by the secretion of endorphins.

It is designed for diabetes patients. Through lectures and practices you will learn how to meditate, practice slow Chinese ancient exercises, and use breath and feel to find where the problem is. 1/19 This class teaches how to use self awareness, standing mediation to find the most comfort "still" position for your body to care of your health for the rest of your life. We will go over 9 areas in the body that could be blocked easily; practice withdraw attention: seeing, listening to, smelling, tasting your own internals, listen to your internal Qi's flow. New Culture Ideas "This Life, This Lifetime" Concert "This Life, This Lifetime" concert is the first concert of the JHF Choir since its establishment in 2019. We hope that you will come to this special concert and enjoy the performance. This concert is special in multiple ways: The program includes wonderful choral songs by Ching-Ju Shih, a well-known composer born in Taiwan. The lyrics of the songs are in Mandarin, Taiwanese, Hakka and English. The theme song of the concert, "This Life, This Lifetime" debuts in this concert. The articulation of each song was guided by the composer Ching-Ju Shih herself and the late conductor Bor-Jen Lin; It was continued by the joint effort of several choir members and outstanding singers who have been trained professionally. This collaboration has allowed the group to sing with an unusual conducting arrangement that pays tribute to the late conductor. There is no preset categories for submission. Just share with the fellow participants, friends and families something about yourself that you treasure the most. Sky is the limit for the scope and theme, as long as the subject and the presentation are constructive, positive, beneficial and not harmful to our society. We wish the most important reward for the participant is the experience from recognizing something they like the most to making efforts to share with other folks. J&H Foundation also gives a few participants $300 scholarships and the other participants some gifts based on the merits and efforts of the project. There are 4 advisors who are psychiatrists and educators for the youth to give feedbacks to all participants. The project period is from 4/1/2022 to 6/12/2022, with the proposal due on 4/30/2022. The first 20 submitted project proposals that are accepted by J&H Foundation will receive $50 gift card from Happy Lamb @ Cupertino, CA. All project teams could present the project, and demonstrate the solutions and share lessons learned in virtual meetings 6/5 - 6/12/2022. Top 3 best projects and a few honorables will be selected for scholarships: 1st Place US $1500, 2nd Place $1200, and 3rd Place $800. Each honorable will receive $300. All project hours can be certified as community service hours. December 28, 2020 at 12:00:00 AM 吳亞儒 中醫師,L.Ac.,DAOM 睡眠、飲食、壓力、鍛鍊不足或不當會造成身體的虛寒緊濕,減低新陳代謝、修復再生和免疫力。這次講課教大家寒的種類,相關穴位,如何依據中醫藥理調理身體狀態,攝取營養,改變生活習慣;或以艾灸,針灸治療。 1/39 很多人很容易疲倦怕冷,或者感覺“心”裡寒,很不舒服,手腳冰涼,或有腹脹,沒有胃口,睡一夜還是兩腳冰涼.....。 陰寒的日子和天氣變化對於素體陽虛,氣血不足,或是心脾兩虛,以及脾虛濕盛的人,影響最大。因為體內陽氣不足,陰寒(濕)氣過重,與體外陰寒之氣相應,容易發病。 季節變化越快,要求人的植物神經調節功能越多,相應的調節能力也要快,要強。而只有體質強壯的人,才有這樣的植物神經調節能力。平時體質偏弱的人,不論是中醫講的那一類「虛弱」,就是因為植物神經功能差,體質才會差。 中醫保健上,可以艾灸肚臍關元,振奮身體陽氣,加強植物神經功能,來改善身體狀況,尤其是在二十四節氣的前後幾天,幫助身體適應節氣變化。 如果身體沒有原因的突然感覺不舒服,往往都是在24節氣前後。通過身體的不舒服,相應的節氣,可以根據中醫理論,推導出來身體的寒熱虛實或者五臟失衡。如果24節氣,大多數的節氣變化,都會引起身體不適,則是體質偏虛,氣血不足,身體不能調適。 整個冬季都可以艾灸調理。冬季屬水,相應於人體的“腎”。冬季艾灸關元,有補腎的功效。尤其是更年期,腎虛,還有經常熬夜晚睡的人,艾灸可以幫助陽氣回納,收藏,對第二年的身體多有益處,尤其是容易感冒和有過敏的人,療效顯著。 如果素體陽虛,而且已經在艾灸肚臍關元穴的朋友,還有怕冷,倦怠的症狀,那就需要加灸督脈振奮陽氣。可以懸灸(不接觸身體,用艾條灸): 大椎 後背心(胸椎3-5節) 命門+腎腧 八髎穴 一個部位艾灸15-20分鐘或者局部溫暖舒適,灸感透入身體。 一次2-3個區域或者自己舒服為度。 不過艾灸時要注意防風保暖,不要受涼。艾灸督脈以正午(11-1pm)效果最佳。 Coldness in the Body Dec 28, 2020 Yaron Wu, L.Ac.,DAOM Watch Video Sleep, diet, stress, insufficient or improper exercise can cause the body to become cold and damp, reduce metabolism, repair regeneration and immunity. This lecture will teach you the types of coldness, related acupuncture points, how to adjust your body state, take in nutrition, and change your lifestyle according to the principles of Chinese medicine; or use moxibustion or acupuncture treatment. 1/39 Many people are easily tired and afraid of cold, or feel "cold in the heart", very uncomfortable, cold hands and feet, or abdominal distension, no appetite, and cold feet after a night of sleep... Cold and cold days and weather changes have the greatest impact on people with yang deficiency in the body, deficiency of qi and blood, or deficiency of both heart and spleen, and spleen deficiency and dampness. Because of insufficient yang qi in the body, the yin-cold (humid) qi is too heavy, corresponding to the yin-cold qi in the body, and it is easy to get sick. The faster the season changes, the more the human autonomic nerve regulation function is required, and the corresponding regulation ability must be fast and stronger. Only people with strong physique have such autonomic nerve regulation ability. People who are usually weak, regardless of the type of "weakness" mentioned in Chinese medicine, are due to poor autonomic nerve function. In terms of health care in traditional Chinese medicine, moxibustion on the belly button can stimulate the body's yang energy and strengthen the autonomic nerve function to improve the physical condition, especially in the days before and after the twenty-four solar terms, to help the body adapt to the changes in solar terms. If the body suddenly feels uncomfortable for no reason, it is usually around 24 solar terms. Through the discomfort of the body and the corresponding solar terms, according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the body's cold and heat deficiency and excess or the imbalance of the five internal organs can be derived. If there are 24 solar terms, most solar terms changes will cause physical discomfort. It is due to weak physique, insufficient qi and blood, and the body cannot adjust. Moxibustion can be used throughout the winter. It belongs to water in winter, which corresponds to the "kidney" of the human body. Moxibustion at Guanyuan in winter has the effect of nourishing the kidney. Especially for menopausal, kidney deficiency, and people who often stay up to sleep at night, moxibustion can help the yang to be absorbed and stored, which is beneficial to the body in the second year, especially for people who are prone to colds and allergies. The effect is significant.
